Sports & Seasonal Department Manager:
Canadian Tire – Store #302 – Calgary, AB.Responsibilities Include:
- Leading and managing the activities of up to 21 employees
- Coordinating schedule for the department
- Dealing with customers, including problem solving and conflict resolution
- Making human resource decisions for the department, including: hiring, staff discipline and termination when necessary
- Merchandising the department in a visually appealing manner suitable for maximum sales potential, including a complete change-over between seasons
- Maintaining the appearance of the store on a daily basis. Including: ensuring the department is full, properly priced and presentable for customers(achieved a store report mark of : 94% (January, 2003)
- Serving as closing manager, locking and alarming the store and leaving the store in excellent condition to be opened the following morning (at least once per week).
- All other leadership and management activities associated with a department with sales of as much as $200,000 per week.
